The Breeze of Miami: Official Drink of the Premios Billboard

We are in full Premios mode in Miami this week! Beyond all the music, there are also tons of awesome parties happening in the city this week. Now you can celebrate like a Latin music star during the Billboard Latin Music Awards with the event’s official drink, The Breeze of Miami, made with Buchanan’s whisky, the official spirits sponsor. Created by Mixologist, J.D. Marin, the cocktail is perfecto for one of music’s biggest nights and for serving to family and friends when hosting an awards viewing party.

The Premios Billboard honor the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music and are the industry’s longest running. The Breeze of Miami cocktail was inspired by the rhythms of Latin music and the city where the awards will take place.

“I wanted to create a drink that felt tropical, but sophisticated. The watermelon gives it a vibrant hue that reflects the colors of Miami, while the combination of coconut water and simple syrup speaks to the richness of Latin music,” stated J.D. Marin.

A little coconut water never hurt anyone, right? Love that as an addition to the cocktail which gives it an extra fresh spin. So, let’s see exactly how he made this drink, so you can try it out for yourself at your casa!
