Daddy Yankee? Don Omar? Reggaetonero’s Real Names Revealed.

Let’s get honesto…there are a lot of interesting names out there that reggaetoneros have taken as their own during their path to stardom. These creative nombres are part of what Las Gringas love about these artists, but it does leave us wondering…what are their real names…the names their mamas gave them? Have you ever wondered the same thing? Las Gringas have the answers!

So, as I was flipping through my People En Español and came across Daddy Yankee’s real name (see below), I decided to embark on a mission to find out the real names of the rest of my favorite Latino artists who so obviously go by a stage name…the majority being reggaeton stars. Thanks to Wikipedia and the magic of Google, it wasn’t that difficult of a challenge but it did take me a while. So, to save you some tiempo, I’ve collected my findings for you here!

Reggaetoneros Real Names Revealed:

  • Daddy Yankee = Raymond Ayala
  • Prince Royce = Geoffrey Royce Rojas (ok..so not a reggaetonero, but we know you were wondering!)
  • Don Omar = William Omar Landrón Rivera
  • Chino Y Nacho = Jesús Alberto Miranda Pérez and Miguel Ignacio Mendoza
  • Wisin Y Yandel = Juan Luis Morera Luna and Llandel Veguilla Malavé Salazar
  • Ivy Queen = Martha Ivelisse Pesante
  • Pitbull = Armando Christian Pérez

Geez…we have some mouthfuls there, no wonder they opted for cooler and shorter versions of their nombres! Who else is missing from the list? Let us know and we will add them!
