Get Details On Gaby Espino’s Premios Tu Mundo Look!
Let’s be honest, one of the best cosas about awards shows is the fashion y style!! As co-host of the first ever Premios Tu Mundo last week, Gaby Espino was front and center! The Latina starlet shined throughout the evening from head to toe, and her hairstyles for the evening were especially fantastic thanks to stylist Marcos Carrasquillo. The celebrity stylist designed two separate looks for Gaby for the evening, and you can a step-by-step inside look at how to create the hairstyles for yourself!!
Look #1 “Messy Fishtail Braid” Step by Step How-To:
Inspiration: Modern and fun…to match the awards show’s tech-savvy theme! For her first look, Marcos gave Gaby a trendy messy braid to maintain the feel of effortless beauty.
Marcos began by wetting Gaby’s hair and applied a generous amount of L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Volume Boosting Mousse before using a hairdryer to blow it dry using only his fingers to give hair texture.
Marcos then parted Gaby’s hair on the side and applied a tiny drop of L’Oréal Paris EverSleek Precious Oil to tame frizz hair and achieve softer strands and a luminous shine
He then braided her hair with the fishtail technique making sure to keep the look messy and pulling out a few strands using his fingers
Marcos completed Gaby’s look with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray – Extra Strong Hold Unscented to keep hair in place for her first look.
Look #2 “Sophisticated Bun” Step by Step How-To:
Inspiration: Given that the show was live, Marcos only had eight minutes to transform her first fishtail braid look to her high-top bun. Marcos was inspired by the latest Fall bun trend and wanted to give Gaby a chic and modern bun to achieve an elegant look that was quick and easy to achieve.
For her first look, Marcos had already applied L’Oréal Paris EverSleek Precious Oil to Gaby’s hair to smooth her strands and add shine
Marcos then had Gaby tilt her hair down and combed the hair beginning from the nape of her neck to the top of her haid where he used a clear elastic to secure a high-ponytail
He then used a hair accessory, similar to a sock bun, pulling Gaby’s ponytail through the center, and positioning the hair around the accessory to achieve extra volume and depth to the bun
From a distance of 10 inches from Gaby’s hair, Marcos sprayed L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray – Extra Strong Hold to set the bun
Marcos completed Gaby’s modern bun look with Overworked Hair Putty from the L’Oréal Paris Studio Line Collection to add texture and tame the flyaways to create a sleek pulled back finish.
