Why Jessica Sanchez Should Win American Idol Season 11.
I typically don’t get into American Idol that much, but for some reason this season I’ve been keeping up with it. I have to say the most promising contestant on the show this season (and arguably from most of the previous seasons) comes in the tiny package that is the outrageously talented Jessica Sanchez.
This young woman’s vocal skills are phenomenal, and it will be ridiculous if she doesn’t win this season. Now, you might be thinking, “Why in the world is she being so dramatic? It’s just a TV show…” Well, I’ll tell you por que!
1. In the words of Randy Jackson: “Jessica Sanchez is LEGIT.”
I realize that there are a lot of talented people out in the world, but the kind of talent that Sanchez showcases is truly, truly rare. I have listened to her performance from last week several times, and I promise you…cada vez…I get chills. She is a natural, and I kinda feel bad for the other (also talented and no doubt hardworking) folks because I just don’t see how they can hope to compete with her.
2. This Girl Will Never Need Autotune.
This is not the kind of voice the industry hears and thinks, “Eh, we could make that work…(Katy Perry…Ke$ha…)”. This is the kind of voice the industry hears and says, “We need to do whatever it takes to sign that.” She successfully sang one of the hardest songs to sing, Whitney Houston‘s “I Will Always Love You“, and knocked it out of the the ballpark. You can’t fake that, and this is one girl who will never need to lip sync or require David Guetta to hide her voice behind electronic mixes.
She’s got the talent! She’s got the star power! She’s gotta win! Watch the video below, and just see if you can disagree!
