Pitbull To Perform At Democratic National Convention Finale Party.

From Alaska to Spain to all over the United States, it really does seem like Pitbull is everywhere. Now, it even looks like Mr. Worldwide is headed straight to Washington D.C.! I haven’t actually seen with my very own eyes the official press release listing Pit as a performer but everyone from HuffPo to Latina.com have been discussing Mr. 305’s impending gig at the finale fiesta of the 2012 Democratic National Convention interestingly nicknamed, “Super-O-Rama“. So, I’m going to go ahead and assume that its at least a little more than a rumor…which brings on a whole host of pregruntas and ponderings.

So, I get that everyone under the sun is reaching out for the Latino vote right now, and its cool that Pit got picked to perform in the big finale after President Obama’s acceptance speech. Yet, what I am wondering is what, out of alllll of his hit singles could he possibly sing to follow up the acceptance speech of the President of the United States. Andrea Gompf at Remezcla has wittily supplied a list of possibilities, and I have to say that I’m kind of on the same page with her.

One of the biggest issues on the national agenda right now is women’s rights and Sandra Fluke is one of the speakers on the schedule. Therefore, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that songs like “Descarada“, “Bon, Bon“, “Culo“, “Go Girl” y “Bojangles (Remix)” probably won’t make the cut. I guess there is that one line in his collab with Enrique Iglesias, “I Like It“, where he invites Barack and Michelle to head out to the Whitehouse lawn and party in the calle, but lets also take note that that line is in conjunction with a lyric that describes Pit’s staying power as being somewhere in the range of Tiger Woods plus Jesse James…so, yeah.

I’m going to go ahead and not-so-secretly hope that he does something special for the event…like a remix of “God Bless The U.S.A“…The RNC would have a hard time topping something like that (because its a contest, right?).

Other notable Latino celebs slated to attend the big bash include campaign co-chair Eva Longoria and (also rumored) Jessica Alba.
