Shakira’s Tweets Reveal Collaborations on New Album!
Last week we reported that Shakira had signed on with Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation, and it looks like she is already hard at work on her next album! Via Twitter, Shaki reveals collaborations with LMFAO, Akon and Red One…further confirming that her next album will be predominately, if not all in English.
We’re getting our info straight from La Colombiana’s twitter stream, and here are the little tidbits she’s shared so far:
“Today I start working on my new album in English.”
“Hanging out with Red Foo (LMFAO), Akon and Red One in my studio in Barcelona! -Shak.”
“It didn’t take us long before we started dancing!”
The last English release from Shakira was her 2009 She Wolf, and in 2010 fans were treated to her bilingual Sale El Sol. There were lots of collaborations on her 2010 album including El Cata, Pitbull, Calle 13 and Dizzee Rascal, and those turned out to be great pairings for Shak. Still, we’re not sure what to think about these newly announced collabs, but hey, we’re willing to give it a try!
