Sofia Vergara is Newly Single and Looking Sexy
This just in! According to the New York Post, Sofia Vergara has reportedly ended her two-year relationship with Nick Loeb over the weekend. Just a few days later, on Monday night, she attended the 2012 Met Gala alone and was overheard confiding in friends about the split. Break-up aside, Sofia looked absolutely spectacular in a Marchesa dress, jewelry by Harry Winston, and makeup by COVERGIRL.
The Latina estrella of Modern Family is said to have broken up with her beau over the weekend because of arguments between the couple…but some speculate Loeb was having a hard time adjusting to Sofia’s rising popularity and fame. If that’s true…it seems like someone has a bad case of the macho’s because Sofia is absolutely fabulous!
Always the professional, Sofia Vergara who is the Latina spokesperson for COVERGIRL didn’t miss a beat while she attended the Met Gala in honor of the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum’s fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute with Vogue Magazine. What gave the night a special touch was when COVERGIRL unveiled Sofia’s dress and beauty look via Twitter with an exclusive behind the scenes first look, before Sofia even left her hotel room for the event!
While you might not be able to afford a Marchesa dress or Harry Winston jewels…we can all snag Sofia’s makeup look by COVERGIRL which was applied by celebrity makeup artist Kayleen McAdams (sister of actress Rachel McAdams).
Sofia’s bright lip was inspired by the Marchesa collection (she wore a Marchesa dress) and we chose a grapey-pink hue since it’s one of Sofia’s favorite shades.
I first applied COVERGIRL NatueLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg all over her face using a blender sponge. I then used COVERGIRL TRUconceal Concealer in #4 just where we needed under the eyes and around the nose to keep the makeup sheer. To set the look, I used a big fluffy brush to apply COVERGIRL Clean Pressed Powder in Soft Honey and then used COVERGIRL Cheekers Blush in Plum Plush to complement her lips.
I wanted to create an eye on Sofia that’s lighter than usual. I applied COVERGIRL Queen Collection Vivid Impact Eyeliner in Truffle along the bottom lashes from the outer corners to the very inner corners and then applied a lighter line along the lash line at the top to create dimension. I applied COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows in Swiss Chocolate on top of the liner on the lid to create a softer effect and then used COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows in Mink along the brow bone. I used two coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast 24HR Mascara in Very Black on the top and bottom lashes to finish the eyes.
I lined the lips first with COVERGIRL LipPerfection Lipliner in Beloved and then filled them in with COVERGIRL Queen Collection Lip Color in Regal Raspberry using a lip brush to create dimension and contour the lips.
