Sonia Sotomayor Awesomely Explains Careers to Sesame Street Viewers!
When I saw supreme court justice Sonia Sotomayor‘s clip from her recent stop on Sesame Street, I wanted to jump through the screen, give her a high five, shout “Amen, sister!!!!“, and then maybe hug it out with her and her muppet friend, Abby! Seeeeeriously, Justice Sotomayor is setting an amazing example for young women y especially young Latinas.
I am so, so, so, so feliz that this clip exists. Especially the part where the little muppet says, “That sounds important!” and Sotomayor responds, “It iiiiis.” I’m pretty sure there is an understood “Bitch, please.” in there too, but she, of course, couldn’t say it out loud…not in front of a muppet.
